Strategic Business Planning

Strategic Business Planning is designed for Sales Representatives, who want to strengthen business relationships with a key customer. In Strategic Business Planning, participants will build a strategic business plan with a key customer and help to implement and track the results of the plan.

Strategic Business Planning is a 11-step process, including extensive pre-work and post classroom follow-up activities with the participants’ customers.

  1. Selection of Key Account to work with
  2. Pre-work: Gather information with the key account for the Strategic Business Planning workshop
  3. Attend the Strategic Business Planning workshop - 2 days
  4. Finalize the Strategic Business Plan with the key account
  5. Relationship management (STAR / PlaceWare sessions)
  6. First quarter update with key account
  7. Second quarter update with key account
  8. Third quarter update with key account
  9. Annual Review - Pre-work (STAR Session)
  10. Annual Business Review workshop -1 day
  11. Managing the Strategic Business Process (STAR / Face to Face)


You will build a strategic partnership with a key customer to gain a sustained competitive advantage. You will also learn new strategic business planning tactics you can implement in your territory. Ultimately, you will increase sales and job satisfaction by helping your key account achieve its business goals and objectives.
